2nd Saturday Vendor Market #2

I just got home from my second vendor market. My sister went with me and we had no problem setting up the tent. We also took everything down and packed up in record speed due to a storm coming our way.

I sold my necklaces for the first time and I had a lot of interest, possible future custom orders and a few sales. At first I was afraid I had made a mistake, but as more people came by I felt better. I had lots of good feedback even if they didn’t buy anything.

I’m very tired. Stayed up until midnight all week working on the pendants and stayed up until 3am Thursday night and 1am last night. My fault for being a procrastinator. Which also meant I did my state sales and use taxes last-minute last night also.

I still feel happy about my hobby-turned-business. I am doing the 2nd Saturday Market next month as well as Sam Rayburn high school band fundraising market and car show. Maybe I’ll go in hubby’s mustang 🙂

Here are some pictures from today. I made 100 pendants this week!!! Crazy!!!

My NTHINGS

I named my little business FloralPensNThings because I knew later I would like to add different items to my listings. I have now made some cute necklaces that I will be selling at the Second Saturday Craft and Vendor Market this Saturday. Here are a few examples of what I will be offering there and on Etsy soon.
The Texans Pendant is already on Etsy.
The others will be added this weekend.
The snake and pink ones that I am wearing are magnetic so you can have the same chain and backing and switch out the little designs to match your outfits!

Gift for Postal Worker

When I had to mail my first sale, I went to our local post office and the lady who helped me was very nice. She took the time to look at all the pictures of my flower pens and gave encouraging words.
I went back the next day and she didn’t help me, but I heard someone else say her name. So today I delivered her this 🙂

Hello Kitty Sundae Flower Pen

Okay, only those that know me, know how much I LOVE Hello Kitty!  OMG!!  This pen turned out so cute!! I’m selling them, but I am keeping one for myself.  Oh, and one is for my niece who also loves Hello Kitty. 🙂

The pens are refillable too so you can keep using them even when they run out!  I love, love, love, love this one!!!!

The Little Things Make Me Happy

I drove to McDonalds to get my boss a diet coke and at the pick-up window I saw an employee with an ice cream cone. I said out loud, “I want an ice cream cone.” And she handed it to me!!!! I love little surprises like that! 🙂

How to Ship an Artificial Flower

I had to ship my first sale today and I was wondering how to ship the flower pen so that the flower would not get squashed. Well, I figured it out! I got a blank Chinese food carton and made a hole at the bottom. I inserted the pen from the top and the flower fit nicely in the box. I made a label to keep the box closed and added little stickers to make it pretty. I also wrapped the pen in tissue paper and tied it with a bow. Cute!!!

This pic shows the pen sticking through. I wrapped it again with another layer of tissue paper and that worked better. 🙂
